Answers:

Q1) Illegal logging is an action that is forbid by authority. Illegal logging is cutting of trees illegally. Illegal logging will lead the animals in running away in order to find a shelter that is safe to live in. 

Q2) The authorities should banned illegal logging. Instead, the Sumatran tiger should be placed in an enclosed area which is safe. We should also play a part in helping the authorities by advising people to stop illegal logging if they are doing so.

Ketamine (In Control pg 3)

Q1) What are the different forms of ketamine?

Q2) What would you do if you knew your friend took ketamine?

Answers:

Q1) There are different forms of ketamine. Ketamine comes in powder form, that users snort up their nostrils. Some ketamine comes in tablets that are swallowed. Ketamine also comes in an injectable liquid form which help to reduce the pain.  

Q2) I would advice her and talk to her about the risk of taking ketamine. There are many kind of ways to help him/her. I will ask her to stop immediately and tell her that ketamine is harmful. I would tell her the consequences of taking ketamine. I would accompany her in talking with a counselor or even a teacher. I will also use encouragement words that would not let her feel down. Its never too late. 

Term 1, Week 8 (23 Feb 09)

Q1) In the last line, what did the writer mean by suggesting that "he may have found more porcupines than rat?"

Q2) What's worth giving up your life for?

Answers:

Q1) The writer meant that more brave people are willing to help. There is less people who are unwilling to help in whatever way. The writer also means that Singaporeans will fight no matter how scared they are then being selfish in not helping to save the country. 

Q2) To me, giving up my life in saving my most important people. Including family and friends. We, Singaporeans should play a part in saving the country. Saving the country does not rely only on mens but everyone has a part to play. It is worth giving up your life in order to save the country.
